  3. Congratulations on purchasing a valuable resource of over 2000 sounds. 
  4. Including 10 different categories ranging from Musical Introductions to 
  5. Sounds of Nature.  
  6.  
  7. SOUNDS GOOD:
  8.     Please find on this disk:
  9.         * this ReadMe file.
  10.         * a "Waves" directory with ten sub-directory of over 
  11.                   2000 sounds in WAV format.
  12.           You can copy these sounds into your Windows directory 
  13.                   for use in your system.
  14.         * Sound Lib 2000 HyperCard stack
  15.           (allows you to browse, play, copy, copy to clipboard,
  16.           search, or play all the sounds.)
  17.         * a "System7" folder with ten sub-folders of over 2000 sounds.
  18.           These are clickable to play and you can drag them into your system
  19.           folder to use as system sounds.
  20.         * an "AIFF" folder with ten sub-folders of over 2000 sounds 
  21.                   in AIFF format.
  22.         * a sample hypercard stack with playing XCMD.

  24. A SOUND A DAY KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY:
  25.     I now have over 2000 sounds, what can I do with them?
  26.     * Use them as a resource in creating presentations, multi-media shows etc.
  27.     * Use them as system sounds (Beeps).
  28.     * Combine them with Toolbook "books" or other Applications.
  29.     * Use them Macromind Director "Movies".
  30.     * Use sound editing programs like those from Sound Blaster or Toolbook
  31.         to alter/distort/enhance the Sounds.  (We do not
  32.         recommend any particular program, there are ShareWare
  33.         programs available.)

  36. THE SOUND THAT BROKE THE CAMEL'S BACK:
  37.     Sounds take up room!  We recommend only installing sounds
  38.     from the "SHORT MISCELLANEOUS" category into your system.  They are
  39.     generally smaller and should not overload your system.
  40.     However, do not load too many -- your system performance 
  41.     will degrade.  How many sounds is too many? -- depends on
  42.     your system and memory and what applications, etc. you use.

  45.     We hope that this CD will provide you with a valuable resource
  46.     with a variety of usable sounds.  With this CD and its cacophony 
  47.     of sounds you should enable your Macintosh to march to its own 
  48.     distinct beat.
